I only provide therapy via telehealth. I am licensed to provide therapy for clients who live in RI. I primarily treat children and teens (ages 0-18). I see a handful of adult clients as well.

I am an out-of-network provider, meaning that the client pays my session fee up front, and seeks reimbursement from their insurance company. I accept HSA/FSA cards. I plan to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield-RI soon.
Before starting services, I recommend you contact your insurance provider and ask them: (1) Your out of network deductible (how much you pay before the insurance company pays anything); (2) What percentage of the service insurance reimburses for once the deductible is met; (3) The rate at which the insurance company reimburses for therapy services with a psychologist for the following CPT codes: 90791 (intake), 90834 (individual therapy), 90846 (parenting sessions), 90847 (family therapy sessions). Sometimes this rate is lower than my session fee.

The length of therapy can be hard to predict. For many problems, a short-term course of therapy (10-20 sessions) is appropriate. For clients with multiple concerns, more severe symptoms, or long-term problems, a longer course of therapy may be appropriate.

Yes! Therapy for children often only involves parents. The goal is to empower parents to help their children learn to regulate their emotions and behaviors.
